Wind Energy: The concept behind wind energy is taking kinetic energy––energy caused by motion from the wind––and turning it into usable energy for human beings. When the wind hits the blades of a turbine (sometimes thought of as a windmill), it causes the blades to move. This is followed by preliminary feasibility studies and design and cost-analysis studies that review the data available and assesses the potential scale of the resource, the resource risks, and the commercial viability of the proposed development.
