Damson Energy aim to develop a balanced portfolio of assets, including those with ongoing positive cash flow and those requiring risked investment for future growth potential. The Exploration of any licence requires a specialist Geological and Geophysical expertise to devise and execute the conventional seismic, prospect risking and drilling projects. Applying other exploration techniques both established and emerging needs to be planned in the context of typically limited exploration phase timeframes and limited budgets. Damson Energy believe these assets need to be fast-tracked in order to maximize value and are focused on involvement in exploration in-licences with quality onshore oil potential in the Area of Interest.

From field developments to the drilling process, seismic acquisition to IT system implementation, the treatment of objective based processes to a Project Management approach permeates the company. Training of all Damson Energy staff members in project planning and time management skills optimizes the productivity of the individual as well as allowing greater team integration through common attitudes.

A core of company engineering staff understands the execution of new field facilities from processing plant, to pipelines and utilities. This is supported by a strong material procurement and supply chain understanding working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders and country-based customs clearance authorities.

Pipeline Design, Installation, Pigging and Commissioning

After a pipeline is constructed and before it is put into service there are a number of key activities required in order to ensure that the pipe meets the requirements of its owners or operators. These will vary to some extent depending on the service for which the line is intended, but as a minimum they will be looking for verification that the line has been laid without significant defects and is in a condition suitable to be filled with the intended product.

Pipeline pigging has a significant role to play in meeting these conditions, and pigs are met with in a number of guises during pre-commissioning operations.

The principal activities involved in preparing a pipeline for operation are those of filling, cleaning and gauging; hydrotesting; dewatering and drying. As in many other pipeline operations, pigs are the tool of choice in achieving many of the goals in this area.

Damson Energy have formed JV’s and collaboration agreement with the world largest Pipeline commission, engineering and pigging providers globally with local partnership in Engineering and Construction to serve our clients efficiently.

Through our extensive Middle East and North Africa contact network of asset owners, IOC’s, Energy and Oil Ministries and market intelligence we are able to generate, screen and evaluate acquisition opportunities that meet your criteria.

Damson Energy offers three main services to companies wishing to acquire upstream oil and gas or renewables assets or projects.

Search and Screen: We can conduct market research as well as use our existing network and opportunity databases to search for assets/companies that meets the client's requirements and also high grade these against strategic criteria. At any time, we have knowledge of a range of public and also private (off market) opportunities which may fit a client's criteria. Using our extensive contact database we are also able to approach companies discreetly and directly to understand their holding position on specific assets or projects if you have already screened or identified options.

After the identification and screening phase we are able to assist or lead with the evaluation and due diligence of the assets/ company, preparation and submission of any offer as well as and negotiation of terms and any transaction documentation.


Bid/Auction support: For public transactions, Damson Energy are able to help with the project management, evaluation and commercial due diligence of the assets/company, analysis of competitive position, submission of a competitive offer, and negotiation of terms and any transaction documentation. Damson Energy are able to embed in a wider project team, lead a project team and coordinate other advisors or provide an independent external review.
